SAGE RI Zoom Café

What?

SAGE-RI holds a zoom meeting on a weekly basis for socializing and strengthening community. At each meeting we touch base with participants and host a speaker providing an up-date on an LGBT organization or information on community resources.
New and returning presenters are helping to inform our community.  SAGE-RI gratefully acknowledges AARP Rhode Island’s ongoing support and generous sponsorship of the SAGE-RI Café.

SAGE-RI Café participants recently heard from Family Service of RI about the
Be Kind Program, a free volunteer based food delivery service. This program builds community resilience by connecting volunteers with neighbors in need of assistance. Plans are underway to expand opportunities for volunteers and the scope of services offered. Find further information at  https://bekindri.org/.  Last week participants enjoyed a presentation by representatives of the PFLAG Greater Providence Chapter sharing information about support offered to individuals and families and on the ways needs have changed over time.  This led to an informative and engaging discussion of resources available locally and on a national level through PFLAG.
